- LOCATION -

Our homestead is conveniently located off HWY-11 (Volcano HWY) on the Windward side of Hawai'i Island, if this is your first trip to Big Island we advise to always follow maps provided. Not just maps by us upon your booking, but ANY AND ALL service providers or tour books you may be advised by on your trip, as Hawai'i county is very behind the times when it comes to technology, and it's best to know where you're going before you get there. This is one of the many reasons visitors prefer Hawai'i Island compared to say Oahu or Maui. If you need all the bells and whistles of a high tech city, we would strongly suggest Honolulu's Lotus or a Hilton resort on Maui. That said, upon every booking we will provide a detailed map with the most convenient and reliable access route with accurate location. So if your iPhone or android says to take a different route, or show an alternate location, you can take it if you want the extra adventure, but we advise otherwise.

- Getting Around -

As Hawai'i island is one of the most diverse locations on our planet from climates & elevations, to it's isolation from any larger land mass, and its sprawling population of cities to sensitive ecology, it's important plan and understand how close or far some of the main attractions are here, so we've provided a general distance guide to many popular locations below from our homestead for your planning consideration. If you're driving over from Kona Airport, or want to visit the southern tip for greensand, or the far north for the sweeping scenery, or maybe just up the road to Volcan to check out Pele, we hope this small list gives some assistance in your planning.
